Alix is the founder of Aligned Law, a Portland-based law firm serving purpose-driven businesses. She was inspired to start the firm when she realized that innovative and heart-centered entrepreneurs need lawyers who understand the new ways of doing business. Alix has served clients in many different capacities including advising start-ups on business formation, negotiating purchases and sales, and counseling clients in conflict.
Alix’s many volunteer activities include serving on the steering circles of the Cooperative Professionals Guild and the Oregon New Economy Project, as well as the Public Service Committee of the Multnomah Bar Association.
Prior to starting Aligned Law, Alix practiced corporate employment law and complex commercial litigation at Nixon Peabody, a Global 100 law firm. She graduated first in her class from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and holds a degree in French from Pomona College.
Outside of work Alix enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, discovering new playgrounds to explore—often followed by a trip to Salt & Straw!

RUBY DOSIER
Ruby is Alix’s Executive Legal Assistant at Aligned Law. Ruby partners closely with Alix, assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks and lending her expertise to keep our operations organized and efficient.
Ruby’s journey into the legal world began with her bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing from the University of Idaho in 2022, where she honed her communication skills and eye for detail. Eager to expand her horizons, she pursued a Technical Writing certificate from Oregon State University in 2023, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning.
But beyond her impressive credentials, what truly sets Ruby apart is her genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for every new challenge that comes her way. She embodies our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction, always striving to exceed expectations.
Outside of work, you can find Ruby indulging in her two greatest loves: spending quality time with her beloved cat, Vera, and savoring the delightful flavors of bubble tea.
